Product Description
The CureTec Single Head Shortwave Infrared Lamp is a mobile, single-headed infrared curing/heating unit — specifically designed for rapid drying or curing applications such as automotive ceramic coatings, paint drying, or other surface treatments.
Key physical / mechanical characteristics:
-
It uses a shortwave infrared (SWIR) halogen/quartz lamp tube.
-
The lamp cassette (lamp head) is approx. 50 cm in length
-
The unit draws 1100 Watts of power and operates on standard 230 V mains electricity (for the UK / EU version).
-
The whole assembly is mounted on a stable, wheeled stand — giving mobility and ease of positioning.
-
The lamp head can rotate horizontally up to 300°.
-
A built-in timer (up to 60 minutes) allows you to pre-set curing/drying cycles without manual switching.
Because of the above, the lamp is often referred to as a “coating dryer” or “ceramic-coating dryer” — a portable infrared heater for workshops, garages, or body shops
Typical use & Benefits
-
Automotive paint / ceramic-coating drying and curing — speeding up the cure time for protective or finishing coatings on vehicle bodies, panels, etc.
-
Rapid drying of paints, primers, lacquers, or sealants — useful in body shops, refinishing shops, or detailing garages where throughput and speed matter.
-
Spot-heating or small-area curing — because the lamp head can be rotated and re-positioned easily, you can target roofs, hoods, doors, or other specific vehicle sections without having to heat the entire workspace.
-
Reduced downtime / faster workflow, which improves productivity — instead of waiting for full ambient cure times (e.g. many hours), you can finish jobs faster, which is often critical in commercial/refurbishment settings
