adam X is the compact gauge: inlet pressure reading, bar/psi and °C/°F switching, ambient temperature, operating hours, battery level, tap navigation.

adam X pro has all of that on a larger screen, and adds tap and tilt navigation, target pressure setting, multi-gun mode, and a record of operating hours, painting time and trigger pulls that can be sent to the smartphone dashboard.

Worth knowing before you buy: the jet X Basic is the only gun in the range that can never take a gauge — adam X and adam X pro cannot be retrofitted to it. If there is any chance you will want one later, the Digital ready is the one to go for.

I-nozzle or O-nozzle?

Both are available in every fluid tip size, and the fan stays the same size across the range.

“I” nozzle — control

An elongated fan with a small run-off zone and a drier jet core. Film build per coat is slightly lower and application is a little slower than an “O” of the same size — the trade for maximum control.

“O” nozzle — speed

An oval fan with a larger run-off zone and a wetter jet core. Film build per coat is slightly greater than an “I” of the same size, which lets you move faster.

Sata Jet X Basic

The jet X is the most advanced paint spray gun from SATA with its innovative nozzle concept. The nozzle system is the centerpiece of the spray gun, based on the innovative labyrinth airflow system. It guides the air in the nozzle in such a way that it exits each orfice at exactly the same pressure and free of turbulence and pulsation, achieving exceptionally fine and homogeneous atomization. The jet X BASIC is the basic analogue version with all the advantagesof the nozzle technology and ergonomics, but without the option of digitization using an adam X or adam X pro.

    The jet X BASIC is the analogue version of SATA's jet X. Same labyrinth airflow nozzle and the same ergonomics as the rest of the range, without the option to fit an adam X or adam X pro.

    Key features

    • Labyrinth airflow system — air leaves every orifice at the same pressure, free of turbulence and pulsation, for fine even atomisation
    • Two jet shapes — "I" (Control) for a longer pattern and a drier core, "O" (Speed) for a wetter core and faster application
    • Constant fan dimensions — the fan stays the same size across every nozzle size, so changing tip does not change your technique
    • HVLP or RP — HVLP for basecoat, RP for clearcoat
    • Quick-change air cap — one and a half turns on the QC thread and the cap is off
    • Analogue only — no QAC; if you may want digital later, the DIGITAL ready takes an adam X without a docking station
    • 3 year warranty — SATA's 1 + 2 year extended cover
