Which jet X is right for you?

All four share the same nozzle and body. What changes is the gauge — and whether one can ever be fitted.

adam X is the compact gauge: inlet pressure reading, bar/psi and °C/°F switching, ambient temperature, operating hours, battery level, tap navigation.

adam X pro has all of that on a larger screen, and adds tap and tilt navigation, target pressure setting, multi-gun mode, and a record of operating hours, painting time and trigger pulls that can be sent to the smartphone dashboard.

Worth knowing before you buy: the jet X Basic is the only gun in the range that can never take a gauge — adam X and adam X pro cannot be retrofitted to it. If there is any chance you will want one later, the Digital ready is the one to go for.

I-nozzle or O-nozzle?

Both are available in every fluid tip size, and the fan stays the same size across the range.

“I” nozzle — control

An elongated fan with a small run-off zone and a drier jet core. Film build per coat is slightly lower and application is a little slower than an “O” of the same size — the trade for maximum control.

“O” nozzle — speed

An oval fan with a larger run-off zone and a wetter jet core. Film build per coat is slightly greater than an “I” of the same size, which lets you move faster.

Sata Jet X - Digital

The jet X is the most advanced paint spray gun from SATA with its innovative nozzle concept.

The nozzle system is the centerpiece of the spray gun, based on the innovative labyrinth airflow system. It guides the air in the nozzle in such a way that it exits each orifice at exactly the same pressure and free of turbulence and pulsation, achieving exceptionally fine and homogeneous atomization.

The jet X DIGITAL - in addition to the nozzle technology and ergonomics, this spray gun option comes with the adam X digital unit, it offers various basic digital functions to make the technician's life in the paint booth easier. Display is large and easy-to-read, can be switched from bar to psi, displays ambient temperature, operating time and battery status. Adam X is easy to twist to attach and also remove from the direct QAC (Quick Adam Connector), it's a dock free attachment.

Two jet shapes:

“O” (Speed) and “I” (Control) with constant fan dimensions for all nozzle sizes

    Two jet shapes:

    “O” (Speed) & “I” (Control)

    HVLP vs RP

RP (Reduced Pressure) – Ideal for Clearcoat

    • Best for: Clearcoat and finishing layers.
    • Key Benefits: Provides superior atomization, resulting in a smoother, glossier finish — ideal for clearcoats where surface quality is critical.
    • Material Usage: RP guns tend to use more material than HVLP because they operate at higher pressure, but this contributes to their excellent finish and faster application speed.

HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) – Ideal for Basecoat

    • Best for: Basecoats and color layers.
    • Key Benefits: HVLP guns excel at delivering even paint distribution with minimal overspray, making them highly efficient and ideal for basecoats.
    • Material Usage: Uses less paint than RP guns, reducing waste and improving cost-efficiency.

    Key Difference

    • RP: Faster application, superior finish, ideal for clearcoats.
    • HVLP: More efficient with less paint waste, ideal for basecoats.
