• Product Description

  The full digital DV1 Basecoat kit — gun, aluminium gravity cup and the built-in pressure gauge.

  The gauge reads inlet pressure at the gun itself rather than at the regulator, which is the number that actually governs atomisation. Hose length, couplers and compressor load all eat pressure on the way down, so setting by the wall gauge is guesswork. With the digital you set it once and every job after that repeats.

  The gun underneath is DeVilbiss's flagship for colour: redesigned airflow rather than a warmed-over GTi, an even fan edge to edge, and the composure to handle metallics, pearls and low-VOC materials without mottling.

  Choosing your fluid tip and air cap

  As a rule of thumb: 1.1–1.2mm for light metallic colour, 1.3mm as the all-round bodyshop choice, 1.4mm and above for heavier basecoat and sealer. B is the standard basecoat cap; B+ widens the fan for larger panels and full resprays. If you are unsure, ring us — we would rather get it right first time than have you send it back.
