  The complete digital DV1 Clearcoat — gun, gravity cup and integrated pressure gauge.

  Of all the coats, clear is the one where pressure discipline pays. The digital gauge reads inlet pressure at the gun itself, so what you set is what the lacquer actually sees. No compensating for hose length, no guessing when the compressor is under load, and no wondering why today's clear laid differently to yesterday's.

  The gun beneath is DeVilbiss's dedicated lacquer tool, atomisation tuned for flow-out and gloss rather than raw coverage — a wider window between dry orange peel and running, and less flatting at the end.

  Supplied with the gravity cup.

  Choosing your fluid tip and air cap

  As a rule of thumb: 1.0–1.2mm for clearcoat and light metallic basecoat, 1.3mm as the all-round bodyshop choice, 1.4mm for heavier work. C1+ is the everyday cap; C2+ moves more material for higher-solids clears and full panels. If you are unsure, ring us — we would rather get it right first time than have you send it back.
