  The digital clearcoat DV1, supplied as the gun alone.

  Clear is the coat where inlet pressure matters most, and the digital gauge reads it at the gun rather than at the wall — the number that actually determines how the lacquer breaks up. Set it once and your clears repeat, job after job, regardless of what else is running off the compressor.

  The gun is DeVilbiss's dedicated lacquer setup: atomisation tuned for flow-out and gloss, with a wider usable window between dry orange peel and running on the vertical.

  Choosing your fluid tip and air cap

  As a rule of thumb: 1.0–1.2mm for clearcoat and light metallic basecoat, 1.3mm as the all-round bodyshop choice, 1.4mm for heavier basecoat and sealer. C1+ suits most 2K clears; C2+ moves more material for higher-solids clears and larger panels. If you are unsure, ring us — we would rather get it right first time than have you send it back.
