Product Description
The DV1 Clearcoat with the gravity cup, without the digital gauge. DeVilbiss's dedicated lacquer gun, set at the regulator as normal.
Key features
- Atomisation tuned for flow-out and gloss — a dedicated lacquer setup, not a basecoat gun with a different cap
- Wide usable window — more room between dry orange peel and running on the vertical
- Less flatting at the end — comes off the gun closer to finished
- C1+ and C2+ air caps — C1+ for everyday 2K clears, C2+ to move more material on higher-solids and full panels
- Light and well balanced — a full day in the booth is less punishing on the wrist
- No gauge to charge — if you set pressure at the wall anyway, this is the same gun for less

Choosing your fluid tip and air cap
As a rule of thumb: 1.0–1.2mm for clearcoat and light metallic basecoat, 1.3mm as the all-round bodyshop choice, 1.4mm for heavier work. C1+ is the everyday cap; C2+ moves more material for higher-solids clears and full panels. If you are unsure, ring us — we would rather get it right first time than have you send it back.
